COVID-19

The Coronas Virus pandemic is creating increasing demands upon our mental health as well as medical health care system. Our emotional and psychological health is impacted by increasing anxiety and fearfulness about the CV-19 threat to ourselves and to our loved ones. In addition, the consequent financial pressures, the limitations placed upon our healthy social interactions and customary range of leisure activities add an additional layer of stress to whatever personal problems we may have. The result is that symptoms of acute stress disorders and posttraumatic stress disorders that are characteristic of war zones, natural disasters, or other life-threatening situations are becoming common. Psychotherapeutic treatment for these symptoms is most effective when it is provided in a timely manner.
